RDA與MARC21並沒有對照的關係，兩者只是有些欄位所表示之內容有所相似，而可以做為轉換之處理，以MARC21中245、246欄位為例其分別表示Title Stastment與Varying from of title，其分欄a,Title相近於RDA2.3.2,Title proper著錄之內容，然其分欄f,Inclusive of Date在RDA的element中卻無相近內容著錄，可得知兩者為何沒有對照關係。
在MARC21中245$a與246$a皆表示為Title，可從RDA2.3.1.5中得知246$a為輔助性質，為其資訊與245段正題名不同之其他題名形式，有助於檢索或識別時，著錄於246段
